ALBANY, NEW YORK
The Alfred E. Smith Office Building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. This building, designed by Sullivan Jones, is one of the City's most important architectural statements. Some of the architectural upgrades and historic restoration that DeWolff is involved with are: strengthening the floor systems, replacing all roofing and flashing, replacing all interior partitions and doors, replacing elevators, cleaning exterior limestone and granite, restoring decorative finishes, and replacing exterior windows. Some of the engineering upgrades and life safety systems that DeWolff is coordinating includes: replacing electrical services, lighting, and power distribution systems, installing motion sensors, replacing HVAC systems, adding sprinkler systems, modernizing fire alarm systems, adding fire/smoke barriers, and upgrading the emergency lighting system. Once finished, the Smith Building will be completely rehabilitated and modernized.
