MASONIC CARE COMMUNITY

UTICA, NEW YORK

Built in 1919, the Masonic Home's skilled nursing facility in Utica, New York, has been used to house nursing home residents for a number of decades. The DeWolff Partnership was brought on board in 1999 to renovate all 5 floors of the 77,945 sq. ft. interior of this historically eligible building.

DeWolff's design solution is to add a 7,300 sq. ft. interior winter garden atrium to the U-shaped building to enhance the extensive renovations to the 5 floors. New construction includes 224 replacement beds and 96 renovated beds - all designed around the household concept. With a construction budget of $44.5 million.
